Reagents/Equipment/Apparatus:

1.       Provided 10 ml glass vial.

2.       Any suitable spectrophotometer.

3.       Relevant Cuvette or cell of photometer.

4.       Aquagenix Ortho-Phosphate reagent 1 one bottle (50 ml).

5.       Aquagenix Ortho-Phosphate reagent 2 one bottle (50 ml).

 

Sample Collection and Preparation.

1.       Make sure to immediately analyze the sample after collection of sample.

2.       Ensure to collect sample in a suitable and designated bottle for a specific sample.

3.       Ensure to conduct this test at room temperature.

Testing Procedure:

1.       Take 10 ml De-ionized water into cuvette for Blank.

2.       Take 10ml sample in which you want to check phosphate and add 10-12 drops (1 ml approx.) of Ortho-Phosphate reagent 1 and mix well.

3.       Add 2-4 drops of Ortho-Phosphate reagent 2 and mix well.

4.       Wait for 10 minutes blue complex of Phospho-molybdate will appear.

5.       Set your spectrophotometer on 880 nm wavelength.

6.       First set zero with blank.

7.       Now take sample in cuvette and press read.

8.       Reading appears in mg/l.
